FAQ:
Why do I need to Identify my
Fixed Frequency monitor as a Standard SVGA monitor?
You
are identifying your monitor as a "Standard Super VGA" monitor,
because:
A) If using a Fixed Frequency monitor, Windows will not try to take
over your monitor's control and interrupt the video card's delicate
task to provide the necessary refresh rate to maintain PC compatibility

B) Windows developers do not consider a workstation monitors as
a "mainstream CRT", so they do not bother with providing ".inf"

your fixed frequency monitor as a Standard SVGA unit, as you will
find out when finished with setting up your Fixed Scan monitor.
